“The Monster Under the Bed” at The Shine Journal!

In May I participated in a writing challenge where I wrote one short story a day based on a writing prompt.  One of my flash fiction pieces “The Monster Under the Bed” has been chosen for the Twinklings page in the September issue of The Shine Journal.  The Twinklings page is reserved for short stories that are under 200 words in length.

The Resident Corgi was my source of inspiration.  I wavered between calling it fiction and non-fiction on the submission form.  Fiction won since he’s not all that frightening to me when he’s hiding under the bed and he’s lived here less than a year.
