January has been cold and snowy but the weather hasn’t prevented me from working on my writing.  This month I began reviewing some older pieces that I liked.  Either they have gone through another revision or are being worked on.

I attended an online workshop “Jumpstart the Muse” hosted by Kim Smith.  It was helpful as she gave her method for providing the Muse some nourishment on a regular basis.  But she stressed the method had to be adapted to what works for us.  Sometimes this advice creates much befuddlement in writers.  With too many choices we don’t know what to do and end up doing nothing.  For her system it really is adaptable!

Other events included the book signings for Sue Miller and Merrill Markoe.  They are lovely women and I can’t wait to read their books.  I suppose I’m lucky as I have only been to one book reading/signing that didn’t go as well as it should have.  (But that’s a post for another time.)
