A big thank you to Marcia at A Girl and Her Books for originating Mailbox Monday. This weekly meme is now on tour with a new host each month. July’s host is A Sea of Books.
Now that I’ve finally figured out how to get my laptop to recognize my Kindle… I may need to lay off buying books for a while. I discovered I had novels from Smashwords I’d never downloaded. Guess what’s on my Kindle now?
First up is All Different Kinds of Free by Jessica McCann which was a free Kindle book from Amazon. I know nothing about it except it’s published by Bell Bridge Books and so far I’ve liked everything I’ve read in their catalog.
Next is When Danger Calls by Terry Odell. This was in my Smashwords account. It’s a romance with a mystery twist and is the first in a series.
Also in my Smashwords account was An Absolute Mess by Sidney Ayers. It should be a short read – good for when I don’t want something long to read at lunch.
Vampire Vacation by C.J. Ellisson was won in a giveaway. A 580-year-old vampire who runs a resort for the undead is an interesting premise.
From NetGalley came two food related books for review. Wheat Belly by William Davis, MD and Cook Like a Rock Star by Anne Burrell. The first sounded interesting as I know some people who have tried to minimize their wheat intake and have felt better. I’m a frequent viewer of Burrell’s show “How to Cook Like a Restaurant Chef” on the Food Network so I wondered what she’d share in the cookbook.
Lastly is A Tale of Two Goblins by H.P. Mallory. This is the second book in the Dulcie O’Neil Series. She’s a fairy working in law enforcement for the Netherworld. I liked the first book, To Kill a Warlock, so I bought this one.
What arrived in your mailbox this week?
Vampire Vacation sounds fun 🙂
Those should keep you busy for a while! I hope you enjoy them all.
Great list, enjoy!

My, you did get a nice bunch. I love my Kindle. 🙂
Enjoy!
Really have to kick my act into gear and get an E Reader. I keep saying it … now I just have to do it!
I’ll have to look up When Danger Calls – that would definitely appeal to my sense of Who dunnit and Romance 😉
Enjoy your reads 🙂
Terry is awesome. Let us know how you like her book. That is a great list. I’ve got a TON on my Kindle. The Warrior for Light books by LJ DeLeon, Laura Eno’s book, the Tempest Child, Alex Cavanaugh’s, CassaStar, Lindsay Downs, Target Identified,etc.. As I said, so many. 🙂
