Some words and phrases are more fun or interesting than others.Â
Two of my favorite words are accoutrement and quotidian. I like the way they roll off my tongue though I don’t use them in conversation. They make me laugh.
Several months ago I heard the phrase “green collar” and it made me giggle. An image of goggle-wearing scientists with green collars popped into my head. Since then I’ve heard the phrase refer to agricultural jobs and to environment oriented jobs. The context is usually environment oriented including organic farming.
My favorite ice cream shop, Jeni’s, has a flavor named Saigon Cinnamon. It makes me think of red clay roads shimmering in the summer heat. I haven’t tried it yet but when I do it should be interesting.
