Jessica at The Bluestocking Society<\/a> is hosting the 23rd edition of the Bookworm Carnival<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 The topic for this edition of the carnival is Literature and Film.\u00c2\u00a0 Jessica put forth a question to everyone who stops by her site – the question and my answer are below:<\/p>\n

Do you prefer to read the book first or see the movie first?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I definitely prefer to read the book first.\u00c2\u00a0 There have been some great adaptations but I’d prefer to imagine how characters look in my head to seeing the actors from the movie.\u00c2\u00a0 In the case of The Accidental Tourist<\/em> it didn’t matter.\u00c2\u00a0 I saw the movie first (it was one of the first times I’d seen a Cardigan Welsh Corgi) but liked both the movie and the book.\u00c2\u00a0 The casting was well done and there were some characters I was able to imagine differently.\u00c2\u00a0 The acting was great but the performances weren’t so iconic that I could still imagine different faces\/bodies to go with the characters.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
