  4. Total stories\/poems pending responses: 7<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Pending responses include two poems to one market, a drabble under consideration at one market, two short stories sent to two markets, a quick contest entry and an essay for a contest.\u00c2\u00a0 The quick contest is a one-liner and the results will be posted on August 15th.\u00c2\u00a0 The second contest is supposed to publish the winners on August 1st so I should know the results later today.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

    For a change, I sent a submission during July and received a response within a few weeks instead of many months.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a rejection but a nice personalized one.\u00c2\u00a0 The two poems have been out the longest; over 190 days.<\/p>\n

    One of my writing goals this year is to publish more of my own work than I did in 2007.\u00c2\u00a0 Having several items out at any one time is good for that.\u00c2\u00a0 Now I just have to target markets that don’t take most of the year to respond.\u00c2\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
