During the first few years of the Covid-19 pandemic, I often heard the refrain “I can’t read anything” or “I can’t focus enough to watch a movie”. It seemed so foreign to me because i was continuing to do those things.<\/p>\n
I think I experienced it last year and while I did do those things, I certainly didn’t do them in my usual volume. Since 2019 I averaged reading 50 books a year and last year it was 35.<\/p>\n
One of my book clubs disbanded and became a hang out with friends\u00a0 that meets once a quarter instead of 10 months of the year which I’m sure contributed to my low reading numbers. I’m hopeful 2023 will be a better year.<\/p>\n
