{"id":32,"date":"2008-03-17T19:39:27","date_gmt":"2008-03-18T03:39:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amberstults.com\/?p=32"},"modified":"2008-03-17T19:39:27","modified_gmt":"2008-03-18T03:39:27","slug":"excuses-excuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.amberstults.com\/?p=32","title":{"rendered":"Excuses, Excuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is every excuse not to write and usually not enough <em>for<\/em> writing.\u00c2\u00a0 As imaginative folks, writers can make up new excuses that haven&#8217;t been used before.<\/p>\n<p>My excuse this week was company.\u00c2\u00a0 During the summer and the fall I never knew when unexpected company would drop in.\u00c2\u00a0 The winter months usually make Ohioans go into hibernation or cocoon mode.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s rare to see your neighbor &#8211; even in the city.\u00c2\u00a0 Housekeeping gets a little sloppy.<\/p>\n<p>The coming of spring, though, means it&#8217;s time to begin entertaining and having people over again.\u00c2\u00a0 Hubby was in whirlwind mode.\u00c2\u00a0 I was a little pokey about my half of the chores.\u00c2\u00a0 Like a raccoon I get distracted by shiny objects (magazines, books, etc.) and it&#8217;s hard for me to stay focused on the task at hand.<\/p>\n<p>Some writing did get done this week but not as much as I had planned.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m keeping my writing appointment this week no matter what!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is every excuse not to write and usually not enough for writing.\u00c2\u00a0 As imaginative folks, writers can make up new excuses that haven&#8217;t been used before.
