This week brought a mix of ebooks and paperbacks.<\/p>\n

Ascension: A Dark Breed Novel<\/em> by Sable Grace<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0came from NetGalley.\u00c2\u00a0 A little about the book:\u00c2\u00a0The gates of hell have opened, and one woman will stand in the crossfire as the Dark Breed\u00e2\u20ac\u201dvampyre, demons, shape shifters\u00e2\u20ac\u201dand mankind fight their last battle for survival.<\/p>\n

Phoenix Rising: A Ministry of Peculiar Occurences Novel <\/em>by Pip Ballantine and Tee Morris.\u00c2\u00a0 This also came from NetGalley. “Evil is most assuredly afoot\u00e2\u20ac\u201dand Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s fate rests in the hands of an alluring renegade . . . and a librarian.”<\/p>\n

Laura of Library of Clean Reads has been holding giveaways for Mailbox Monday participants.\u00c2\u00a0 I was last week’s winner of\u00c2\u00a0The Jane Austen\u00c2\u00a0Fiction Package from SourceBooks<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 The first is Darcy and Fitzwilliam<\/em> by Karen V. Wasylowski<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 It features cousins Fitzwilliam Darcy and Colonel Fitzwilliam.\u00c2\u00a0 “A gentleman in love cannot survive without his best friend.”\u00c2\u00a0 The second book is Mr. Darcy’s Secret<\/em> by Jane Odiwe<\/a>. “One dark secret can completely ruin a bright future…”<\/p>\n
