Rowling &#8211; This is a slimmer volume than I expected.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Graveyard Book <\/em>by Neil Gaiman &#8211; I love it that the idea of this book originated when his son was a young boy.\u00c2\u00a0 It finally gelled into something when his son was grown up.\u00c2\u00a0 Some ideas just take their time.<\/p>\n<p><em>Chip Kidd: Book One: Work: 1986 &#8211; 2006<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0by Chip Kidd with an introduction by John Updike &#8211; My husband is good at finding books for me I wouldn&#8217;t pick out for myself.\u00c2\u00a0 Kidd is an author and graphic designer.\u00c2\u00a0 He&#8217;s famous for his book covers.\u00c2\u00a0 Glancing through the book there are several I recognize.<\/p>\n<p>What arrived in your mailbox this week?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A big thank you to Marcia at The Printed Page for\u00c2\u00a0originating Mailbox Monday.\u00c2\u00a0 Mailbox Monday has gone on tour!\u00c2\u00a0 Hosting for December is Lady Q of Let Them Read Books.\u00c2\u00a0 January&#8217;s host will be Rose City Reader.
