I’m a few days late in my NaNoWriMo check-in.\u00c2\u00a0 Sorry!<\/p>\n
I had Friday off work and that was my best writing day this year.\u00c2\u00a0 In the afternoon I went to a write-in at Colin’s Coffee.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s a long space with a counter and several tables.\u00c2\u00a0 Shopping center employees and other regulars came in for their coffee fix.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 We had one person visiting from Cleveland who was in town and wanted to get some writing done.\u00c2\u00a0 My noveling fuel was tomato soup and a frozen hot chocolate.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the evening was a second write-in at the Chocolate Cafe.\u00c2\u00a0 Apparently they have an all you can eat chocolate fondue special from 5pm to 10pm on Fridays for $6.99.\u00c2\u00a0 My noveling fuel was lobster bisque soup and (free refills) coke.\u00c2\u00a0 Surprisingly, I didn’t touch the chocolate at all.<\/p>\n
On Friday alone I wrote 6034 words.\u00c2\u00a0 Not bad by my count.\u00c2\u00a0 It brought me up to 28234 words total.<\/p>\n
One of the neat tools for NaNoWriMo is the Excel report card I’ve been using for as long as I can remember.\u00c2\u00a0 I was able to look back at my writing stats and my best day ever was on 11\/30\/2008 on the first version of this story.\u00c2\u00a0 I cranked out 8270 words in 7 hours.\u00c2\u00a0 Tonight I read some of those words.\u00c2\u00a0 Other than the last few paragraphs I have no recollection of what I wrote.\u00c2\u00a0 It was interesting to see how I tied up the main plot line.<\/p>\n
