Are you more likely to see a movie if it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s based on a book?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #005580;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It really depends on whether or not the book is something I&#8217;ve ever heard of or read.\u00c2\u00a0 If I really enjoyed the book then I have a hard time liking the movie even though it&#8217;s a different medium.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #005580;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. Do you prefer to read the book first or see the movie first?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #005580;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I definitely prefer to read the book first.\u00c2\u00a0 There have been some great adaptations but I&#8217;d prefer to imagine how characters look in my head to seeing the actors from the movie.\u00c2\u00a0 In the case of <em>The Accidental Tourist<\/em> it didn&#8217;t matter.\u00c2\u00a0 I saw the movie first (it was one of the first times I&#8217;d seen a Cardigan Welsh Corgi) but liked both the movie and the book.\u00c2\u00a0 The casting was well done and there were some characters I was able to imagine differently.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #005580;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. List one movie that was better than the book it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s based on, and one book that is better than the movie.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The movie, <em>Princess Bride<\/em>, is better than the book.\u00c2\u00a0 To be fair, I read the book when I was young and may not have quite gotten the humor in it.\u00c2\u00a0 One book that&#8217;s better than the movie would be <em>Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t get the same excitement from the movie as I did the book.\u00c2\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0<span style=\"color: #005580;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4.
