My Soul to Lose<\/em> is\u00c2\u00a0a prequel novella intended to get the reader hooked on the Soul Screamers series of books by Rachel Vincent.\u00c2\u00a0 It works.\u00c2\u00a0 As soon as I was done reading it, I reserved the first book at the library.\u00c2\u00a0 My Soul to Lose<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0introduces the reader to Kaylee Cavanaugh.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s a teenager\u00c2\u00a0who sometimes sees weird things that make her\u00c2\u00a0scream.\u00c2\u00a0 This lands her in a mental institution.<\/p>\n

Kaylee\u00c2\u00a0sounds real.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s one of the those kids in the middle of the social status and her home life is a little\u00c2\u00a0messed up.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0After her mother’s death, her father moves to Ireland and leaves her with her aunt, uncle and cousin.\u00c2\u00a0 She knows her dad loves her, but she just looks too much like her mother to be around her.<\/p>\n
