{"id":235,"date":"2008-09-06T19:12:59","date_gmt":"2008-09-06T23:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amberstults.com\/?p=235"},"modified":"2008-09-06T19:14:44","modified_gmt":"2008-09-06T23:14:44","slug":"lit-flicks-challenge-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.amberstults.com\/?p=235","title":{"rendered":"Lit Flicks Challenge Begins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the last few months I&#8217;ve come across different book challenges on book reviewer blogs.\u00c2\u00a0 Each one has a different premise and\/or goal.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve come across\u00c2\u00a0a challenge\u00c2\u00a0that is nearly tailor made for me.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/thebluestockings.com\/lit-flicks-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lit Flicks Challenge<\/a>!\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the rules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Challenge runs from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009.<\/li>\n<li>Read 5 books\/pieces of literature that have been made into movies.<\/li>\n<li>Then watch at least 2 of the movie adaptations of the works you read.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00c2\u00a0list may change at any time and may include overlaps with other challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been looking at the lists and I&#8217;ve\u00c2\u00a0come up with my initial list of five books.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Good German<\/li>\n<li>Devil\u00c2\u00a0In a Blue Dress<\/li>\n<li>A Good Year<\/li>\n<li>The Name of The Rose<\/li>\n<li>Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I tried to pick a variety of books and one of these is even on my TBR pile.\u00c2\u00a0 When I looked at the possible choices it was difficult to decide.\u00c2\u00a0 In many cases I&#8217;d seen the corresponding movie or read the book once but had no desire to re-read it or\u00c2\u00a0watch the movie.<\/p>\n<p>Wish me luck!\u00c2\u00a0 I imagine I&#8217;ll be posting about the books I&#8217;ve read soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the last few months I&#8217;ve come across different book challenges on book reviewer blogs.\u00c2\u00a0 Each one has a different premise and\/or goal.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;ve come across\u00c2\u00a0a challenge\u00c2\u00a0that is nearly tailor made for me.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s the Lit Flicks Challenge!\u00c2\u00a0 Here are some of the rules: Challenge runs from September 1, 2008 to February 28, 2009.
