If someone told me ten months ago I would be spending my free time using technology more throughout my day I would have thought the person was crazy.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I work with technology all day long.\u00c2\u00a0 How would it be possible to use it even more?<\/p>\n
In July 2009 I signed up for Twitter.\u00c2\u00a0 I was very resistant to the idea.\u00c2\u00a0 After all, what would I have to say in 140 characters that people would\u00c2\u00a0 want to read?\u00c2\u00a0 And what could they say that would keep me interested?<\/p>\n
In August 2009 I signed up for Facebook.\u00c2\u00a0 And my free time has not been the same.\u00c2\u00a0 (One reason why I never went back to playing EverQuest was the time suck.)\u00c2\u00a0 I spent that\u00c2\u00a0rediscovered time writing and reading instead.\u00c2\u00a0 I am limiting my time on it, believe it or not.<\/p>\n
In September 2009 I sent my first text message from my prepaid cell phone.\u00c2\u00a0 This particular Nokia model was in my possession for over 2 years before I sent one.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
In February 2010 I was gifted an iPhone.\u00c2\u00a0 Twitterific is my favorite part.\u00c2\u00a0 It is so convenient to catch up on what’s going on in my neighborhood throughout the day.\u00c2\u00a0 But I also like Toodledo and Flight Control.<\/p>\n
This month\u00c2\u00a0I began using Google Reader.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s right.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a handful of sites in my Google Reader now.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m horrible about bookmarking sites and unless it’s one I can remember easily it can be months before I return.\u00c2\u00a0 I really like Google Reader.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
