People at work who saw me reading this book would ask, “What are the secrets to happiness?”\u00c2\u00a0 Life, and most novels, rarely have simple answers to that question.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0For Holly, the journey begins by sleeping with a 22-year-old and adopting a dog with cancer.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Secrets to Happiness <\/em>is a roller coaster of events during\u00c2\u00a0a time when Holly decides she must move forward with her life.\u00c2\u00a0 The people in her\u00c2\u00a0circle push and pull her forward – just because she’s made the decision doesn’t mean she’s going to willingly get on with her life every step of the way.\u00c2\u00a0 Holly Frick could be one of my peers.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s smart, funny, well-intentioned, self-aware,\u00c2\u00a0a concerned friend and a little bit selfish.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dunn did a great job\u00c2\u00a0bringing the characters to life.\u00c2\u00a0 For many of them it felt like they had a past alongside their present.\u00c2\u00a0 This is a humorous tale of a woman’s journey to get to a good point in her life.<\/p>\n
