Some writers use music to set the mood while they are writing.\u00c2\u00a0 They may listen to a specific time period to\u00c2\u00a0 conjure\u00c2\u00a0a mood or get into the mindset of a character.<\/p>\n
In general, I’m not one of those writers.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact, I rarely listen to music at all when I write.\u00c2\u00a0 I find I can get distracted by it.\u00c2\u00a0 Music can transport me to certain time periods in my life.\u00c2\u00a0 This doesn’t help me get into the mindset of a character.<\/p>\n
The only time I’ve used music while writing is to focus and tune other people out.\u00c2\u00a0 Sitting in Panera some of the conversations can lean towards the loud side.\u00c2\u00a0 Music I haven’t chosen (generally heard through the speakers of the person next to me) usually makes me mad.\u00c2\u00a0 If their iPod is turned up that loud, they should have their hearing checked and take their noise pollution elsewhere.\u00c2\u00a0 But that’s only my opinion.\u00c2\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
