I came across “Alice After the Mall<\/a>” by John Jasper Owens shortly after it was published in Every Day Fiction<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 There are many good things about it but it’s the ending I keep thinking about.<\/p>\n

The first paragraph lets the reader know where Alice is and why she’s at the mall.\u00c2\u00a0 It sets up the scene and\u00c2\u00a0appears to be an\u00c2\u00a0ordinary situation.\u00c2\u00a0 Sometimes life changing decisions are made in ordinary places.<\/p>\n
