    Didn’t I say May had better watch out for me?\u00c2\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

    Back in April I submitted a poem for a contest and the results will be announced in July so I know it’s going to be a while before I hear how it did.\u00c2\u00a0 Since poetry isn’t my strong suit I’m not too worried about when I’ll hear about it.<\/p>\n

    Two of the other pieces are short stories that have been looking for the right home.\u00c2\u00a0 The third piece I submitted is a non-fiction letter.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a response to a writing prompt centered around a resignation letter.\u00c2\u00a0 To be honest, I didn’t think there was a desire for letters but I found a market!<\/p>\n

    One proud moment this month was not waiting until the last minute to submit my work to beat the end of the month deadline.\u00c2\u00a0 I spaced out my submissions in order to make sure they met the formatting guidelines.\u00c2\u00a0 According to the average response times from Duotrope, nothing is so terrible that a rapid rejection came within a day, and the average time for a response may be accurate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
